Title:  Manager in Charge

Grade:  (EAS 18-20), (EAS 21), (EAS-22)

FLSA Designation:  EXEMPT

Non-Scheduled Days/HOURS: Varies

SALARY RANGE:  Varies

 

 

Persons eligible to apply:  All EAS career employees within commute distance of locations 1 or 2 listed above, as applicable, with at least one year current, continuous career service.  The distance between the duty station and your residence must be no more than 50 miles greater than the distance between your current duty station and residence.  Must be willing to accept assignments at any unit within the applicable location’s area of control. 

 

SPECIAL NOTICE

 

Updates of current application and new applications may be submitted at any time.  New applications will only be reviewed by the Manager-In-Charge Committee on a quarterly basis, if applications are received within each quarter.  Applications will be purged at the end of each fiscal year.  To remain on the MIC list, previous applicants must submit an updated 991 each fiscal year. 

 

HOW TO APPLY:  Submit a completed Form 991, including:

             

  1. In the “Position Applied for” block of the 991, state “MIC” and in the “Grade” block, “EAS 18-20” or “EAS 21” or “EAS 22” (A separate application must be submitted for each category).
  2. List separately from your permanent jobs any temporary detail or MIC assignments in the “Postal Position” section.
  3. Address each of the below listed KSA’s indicating specific qualifications and pertinent information using a STAR format (Situation/Task/Action/Result) Applicants must provide information on the specific experience, training, knowledge, or background they possess that realistically supports their capability to perform in a Manager, Customer Services position.
